A Laguna Walk — Saturday, October 28, 2017
About 5 Miles, Moderate Pace
Meet at the Sebastopol Plaza at 9:00am
It has been tough time for fire victims and those of us who worry about folks we know who’ve lost their homes, but we’ve seen a huge outpouring of love and support. Take a break and come with us on a leisurely stroll on Sebastopol’s wild side —along the Laguna de Santa Rosa. We’ll hear tales of daring to save it from further degradation and stories about the formation of the Laguna Foundation. We will visit Tomodachi Park and neighboring Village Park to learn of the current efforts to restore it for low-income housing, then visit the Laguna Uplands before heading back to the plaza. Bring water and a snack.
Heavy rain cancels.
